E C & I Senior Engineer

This post is for a Senior EC&I Engineer to co-ordinate and drive a small team of EC&I engineers working on nuclear, process or steam raising plant projects in a multidisciplinary environment of some 30 engineering staff based in Cumbria.

Job Role

Technical responsibility for leading a small team of EC&I engineers working on a variety of multi-disciplinary projects, in the nuclear, process and utility power sectors.
Producing /reviewing cost estimates for EC&I scope on multi-discipline projects.
Producing and reviewing the following documents, drawings and schedules: -
E C & I design package drawings and schedules
Including: -
Electrical distribution equipment specifications.
Vender Technical Specifications
Control Philosophy
User requirement specification
Design Justification reports
I/O, Alarm and Trip Schedules
Equipment data sheets
Vendor package documentation and vender support.
Installation data – Cable block diagrams, cable schedules, termination schedules, Loop diagrams, JB details etc.

Candidate Requirements

Management of small teams plus established design experience working on relevant nuclear / process plant with a proven record of achievement of technically adequate fit for purpose and cost effective design. This should involve two or more of the following:
Safety Instrumented System
Instrumentation selection and specification of instrumentation
Control system design
Electrical distribution specification
Chartered engineer status of a relevant professional body is preferred

Previous experience of leading a team

Experience in the Nuclear industry
